This service ("AI Tutor") is operated by ai tutor business ("we", "us"). ai tutor business is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website and app. You can contact us at roblxu98@gmail.com.

Information we collect and why

• Account data (email, name, login credentials via Google or email) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Learning content (questions you type, images you upload, AI answers, topics, difficulty) — to provide the tutoring service and save your solution history. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Usage and device data (features used, solutions requested, device/browser type, IP address) — for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Subscription and billing metadata (plan, subscription status, Paddle customer and subscription identifiers) — to manage Pro access. Payment card and bank details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Support communications (emails you send us) — to respond to your requests. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Advertising

Free users may see advertisements in the website sidebar. Pro users do not see advertisements. We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients, as needed to run the service:

• Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, subscription management, and refunds. Payment data is collected directly by Paddle. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the app, database, and authentication.
• AI model providers — question and answer content is sent to third-party AI providers to generate solutions.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

Data retention

• Account data: kept while your account is active, and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of account deletion.
• Learning content (questions, answers, history): kept while your account is active; you can delete individual items at any time.
• Billing and subscription records: retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws.
• Support emails: kept for up to 3 years after the last interaction.

When data is no longer needed for these purposes it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights email roblxu98@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosted infrastructure with industry-standard protections — to safeguard your personal data. No online service can guarantee complete security.
